Wow that went too cheap!

One of the frustrations as an auctioneer is trying to educate the public on the auction method as a whole, but more specifically about understanding market value and market trends. I hear over and over again at auctions how certain things went too high, or too cheap. Primitives starting to see a spike while furniture takes a hike!

The last several months have seen a spike in primitive and antique prices while furniture prices have dropped considerably. Bobby Mabery of Auctions Plus says it is the trend right now and primitives are hot, while furniture especially modern is taking a backseat at auctions. He does add that the trend will change and already sees some furniture prices bumping back up as new design and repurposing ideas continue to come out.

These guys are the real deal! We have consigned literally hundreds of items to Auctions Plus, and it seems they have a professional for every phase of the auction process. From the initial pick up to the auction itself and everything in between. They have folks that are real experts at advertising, and of course their auctioneers are superb. We have enjoyed doing business with them, and all we can say is hats off to a great auction team!

The auctioneers all have different personalities that keeps the auction entertaining and exciting. The pace is upbeat and smooth. I have made a lot of purchases and just want to say I am really impressed!  From purchase to check out you guys show that you know what you are doing! Big plus for auctions plus!

Thank you auction plus team. My family and I had a rough year with the lost of more than one loved one. As the year drew to an end we decided to clear out a bunch of stuff that had accumulated from more than one estate that we were left in charge of. The decision and amount of items we had to go through was overwhelming, but you guys stepped right up and took charge helping us through the entire process. The whole process went really smooth, and I just wanted to say that you guys did an excellent job! My rough year had a better end because of your help. D. Sheppherd-Fort Worth, Texas
