The Auctions Plus gang recently took a trip to several Amish Auctions, Antique Malls, and Wholesale Warehouses in several locations in the Midwest. It was 10 day trip covering over 4500 miles. The trip was a combination vacation and business trip to help the staff learn more about the techniques being used at different auction facilities.

This sale boasted over 900 lots with hundreds of tools plus tractors, trailers and more. A little bit of everything was mixed in among the items including many items that sold by the bulk.

Aaron ParkerThe last several months have seen a spike in primitive and antique prices while furniture prices have dropped considerably. Bobby Mabery of Auctions Plus says it is the trend right now and primitives are hot, while furniture especially modern is taking a backseat at auctions. He does add that the trend will change and already sees some furniture prices bumping back up as new design and repurposing ideas continue to come out.
